- Went to visit H.L. Jones in Texas and on to Taos and Rosewell NM
- Camped to some extent. Can recall smell of rubber air mattresses and sound of my mattress hissing as it was going flat in the middle of the night.
- Water spigots had major lime deposits around them. We got to drink Cokes in larger numbers than ever.
